Dennis Boyle – Director of District Support Services With nearly four decades as a California public educator, Dennis Boyle has acquired a broad range of experience including his service in leadership positions in the site and district administration. Mr. Boyle has served in various capacities, including the Director of Personnel, Director of Curriculum, Director of Alternative Education and Adult Education. He culminated his career as a district superintendent. Mr. Boyle has a strong track record in improving student learning, especially in rural school settings. One of his notable accomplishments was the development and construction of a New Technology High School, a smaller school funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Mr. Boyle’s other experiences include spearheading modernization projects and employing remedies to address the multifaceted issue of declining enrollment. As a district administrator, Mr. Boyle co-founded an inmate education program in conjunction with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. He also founded and directed the Northern California Personnel and Labor Law Consortium, which includes 36 member districts and County Offices of Education in ten Northern California counties. Mr. Boyle received his bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from the State College of Iowa and his master’s degree in biochemistry with an emphasis in science education from the University of Northern Iowa. He also received a National Science Foundation summer study award in the fields of biology and ecology.
