Dena Sprecher – Senior Associate

With 29 years of public education experience as an elementary teacher, elementary and middle school principal, and a special education manager, Dena Sprecher has the rich background that makes her a valuable member of TSS's School Assistance and Intervention Team (SAIT). Ms. Sprecher also provides TSS clients with evaluations and technical assistance for schools designated for Program Improvement (PI).

An established trainer of school administrators in school leadership and management, Ms. Sprecher empowers principals with the practical tools – from effective principal leadership to handling union concerns in a positive and constructive manner – to foster positive change within the school community. Her training has yielded positive results in school climate and test scores and has been especially helpful to administrators in underperforming schools and districts.

Ms. Sprecher's rich background in special education services, delivery, and management assists our client districts with cost-effective strategies that meet federal and state regulations while, more importantly, putting students before all other interests.

Past principal of California Distinguished Schools recipient Chipman Middle School in the Alameda Unified School District (2002), Ms. Sprecher holds a master's degree in special education from Central State Teachers College in Edmond, Oklahoma, and a master's degree in education administration from San Francisco State University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma.
