Internal Control for Government Agencies:
The GAO Green Book

Intended Audience

Administrators, Business Managers and Accounting & Finance Staff

Session Description

The new Uniform Grant Guidance states that grantees should establish internal controls in accordance with the COSO framework or the GAO Green Book. While the standards are essentially the same, the Green Book more closely addresses the world of federal grants. Grantee organizations that fail to incorporate the appropriate internal control standards face the risk of federal sanctions, including significant refunds. This one-day class will enable grantees to understand and implement the internal control standards established by the GAO Green Book.
