Subrecipient Monitoring

Intended Audience

Administrators, Business Managers and Accounting & Finance Staff

Session Description

Any federal grantee that makes subawards is a “pass-through entity.”┬áPass-through entities are required to monitor their subrecipients to help ensure that grants are operated efficiently and achieve their objectives. The Uniform Grant Guidance sets forth requirements for assessing the risks posed by subrecipients and utilizing the risk assessments to determine the extent of monitoring needed. CPAs who conduct Single Audits are required to evaluate their clients’ monitoring activities.┬áThis class will familiarize you with the federal requirements for monitoring and provide guidance on complying with those requirements.
