Session Description

As the world becomes increasingly interdependent, how should students of the 21st Century be taught? This course will investigate ways in which teachers can provide students with an opportunity to discuss real-world problem case studies which can be used in multiple discipline areas (knowledge). The course will also model lesson activities that teachers can design for students that involve the 4Cs – Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration (Skills) – as well as the habits of mind that students will need to thrive in this complex world (Character). In addition, participants will investigate various models for 21st Century Learning that can be replicated systemically, within particular and across multiple school systems, as well as organizations that promote the use of project based learning activities in which international students can cooperate.

Training Goals

To provide various models that promote project based learning activities.
