DEVELOPING A PROACTIVE INTERVENTION NETWORK
Who Should Attend
Principals, Assistant Principals, Aspiring Administrators, Master Teachers, District Data Coordinators, Deans and District Level Staff.
In this two-day session, participants will work in collaborative groups to understand the importance of designing and developing a proactive intervention network. The focus of the workshop will be to identify criteria for intervening with students who are identified as being at risk – both behaviorally and academically. Problem solving models such as Response to Intervention and Instruction (RtI2) are becoming increasingly implemented and is grounded in formative assessment methods. We will learn to identify multiple points of data to understand where and how we can identify the critical points of intervention and what that would look like. We will also delve into research around tiers of support and focus specifically to help participants establish a screening and progress monitoring protocol and how to use the outcome data to monitor student progress.
Design an intervention model to address students at risk both academically and behavrially and to address improvement through multi-tiered support.
