John Almond – Director of District Support Services

With 25 years as an administator and 13 years as a superintendent, John Almond has experience in elementary and secondary settings. He is well known and respected for developing positive work environments and strong partnerships with community and regional organizations and government.

Mr. Almond has held a number of distinguished regional and statewide positions. He represented the northernmost counties of California on the State Superintendents' Committee for a number of years, provided leadership in county-wide strategic planning and budgetary committees, and held other regional leadership positions for secondary principals and superintendents.

As a Director of District Support Services, Mr. Almond brings to TSS a wide range of skills and expertise from his superintendencies and experience in smaller districts. He is well versed in problem solving, consensus building, and site-based shared decision making.

Mr. Almond holds a master's degree in administration and supervision from San Jose State University.
