Tony Gross – Senior Associate Tony Gross has spent twenty-five years in various educational roles, including special education teacher, elementary school vice-principal, and high school vice-principal. He also has had the honor of opening a newly restructured urban program. Throughout his career, Mr. Gross has worked on strategies that emphasize improvements in student achievement and that provide opportunities for students. Many students he has taught have returned to teach for him. Mr. Gross believes that the responsibility of public education is to educate students fully so that the entire community benefits. Mr. Gross is highly respected for his work with students who have otherwise been unsuccessful and for systems he has developed to coordinate services. His efforts to involve families in academic intervention and student achievement are especially noteworthy. These qualities make Mr. Gross an invaluable member of our school improvement team for low-performing schools. Mr. Gross also specializes in community building and outreach, especially to students and parents from traditionally under-represented backgrounds. Mr. Gross holds a master of arts in education from California State University, Sacramento. |
